        In China, the animal zodiac is also called shengxiao (η”Ÿθ‚–). The Chinese zodiac is a repeating cycle of twelve year. Each year is represented by one animal.

    The twelve animals in order are:
1. rat (鼠)🐭
2. ox (牛) πŸ‚
3. tiger (θ™Ž) 🐯
4. rabbit (ε…”) 🐰
5. dragon (ιΎ™) 🐲
6. snake (蛇) 🐍   
7. horse (马)🐎
8. sheep (羊) πŸ‘
9. monkey (猴) πŸ’
10. rooster (ιΈ‘) πŸ”
11. dog (η‹—) 🐢
12. pig (ηŒͺ) 🐷

    Each zodiac animal has its own reputed attributes. People born in a certain animal year with the "shuxiang" (ε±žη›Έ) of that animal, and are believed to have the attributes of that animal as well. And that person's personality will be affected by his/her shuxiang. If you know the year that a person is born, you will know his/her "shuxiang" or the animal of that year.
