        Chinese traditional musical instruments are treasures of Chinese culture. They have strong nationalistic characteristics and diversity. This section will introduce five famous traditional musical instruments.

  Erhu (二胡 )is also called Chinese violin or fiddle. It is a two-stringed bowed instrument. Erhu is a very common traditional instrument, can can convey a wide range of emotions though it has only two strings.   Pipa (琵琶 ) is also called Chinese lute. It is the most difficult traditional Chinese instrument, but could play very expressive music.  Guqin (古琴) is an ancient zither which has plucked seven strings. In ancient China, it is very important for the high culture  to master the Guqin.
